I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many couples over the years, but there was something extra special about this particular session at the Bonneville Salt Flats. It wasn’t just any regular shoot. This time, I was in on a secret, and it’s a story that makes my heart swell every time I think about it.
The boyfriend reached out to me well in advance, letting me know that he was planning to propose during their shoot. Of course, she had no idea! To her, this was just a fun, spontaneous photo session during their travels—nothing more. We carefully planned every detail to ensure that the proposal would be a complete surprise, and let me tell you, it went off without a hitch!
The moment he dropped down on one knee was nothing short of magical. Her reaction? Priceless. As you can see in the photos, she was absolutely floored. I’m not sure who was more excited—her or me, but the energy that filled the air was electric. I could feel the joy and adrenaline from all of us, and it was truly unforgettable.
